“The Arlington Youth Group wishes to thank Front Porch Forum for helping to make our bottle drive such a success. We also thank all who donated bottles and cans for the collection! All proceeds go to assist the Arlington Food Shelf, Second Chance, or toward group t-shirts. Again, thank you.”

“We found our pug! Thank you to everyone who called with sightings, helped search and checked in on us. We found Ruby in the woods behind Burt’s Pub last night. She is unharmed and had a blast during her 12 hours of freedom. So thankful to live in a community that rallies for their neighbors. My son never knew she was missing, making for a very happy little boy and pup. I appreciate all of you!”
“Eighth grade graduation night was spectacular! I was deeply moved by the obvious thoughtfulness and hard work that went into the food, decorations and creativity that made the graduates, CCS staff and parents feel so special. Thank you also to those community members who responded to
“Dear Neighbors – Thank you so much to all of you who responded to the request for furniture… The response was overwhelming. I was amazed at how kind-hearted so many people are in this community, and in Rutland County. The family’s furnishing needs were met within 24 hours. There was an outpouring of sentiments of love and compassion for this person, who still remains anonymous. Some people were willing to part with things they were still saving. Others, who didn’t have furniture offered things like clothing for the kids, etc. It has been very difficult to respond to each email that came in. Since this family’s needs were met by such a great and timely out-pouring of generosity, in the future, I may post here for others, who are in need of help (especially the children). Thank you again so much for your giving hearts!”
“Thank you so much, Mary Jane, for posting about my missing credit card. Several people saw it and let me know, and I got it back this afternoon. Usually when I frantically comb the house for something that was in my pocket yesterday, my angst is lonely. Now,I hear from a friend who heard from a friend that my unreliable pocket’s misdemeanor was made public, and I receive kindness not only from a stranger, but friends and family en masse! Not such a lonely world after all! (See what I did there where I shifted blame to my long-suffering pocket instead of to a ‘senior moment?’ Smooth right?)”
“I really appreciate the many responses I had to my request for lawn mowing help, and I now have someone to do the job.
“Thank you to the many neighbors who responded to my request for lilacs today. I was moved by the generosity of so many, and feel blessed to live in such a wonderful community. I’m so grateful for
“I just have to say how much I love FPF – and for so many reasons. It is such an amazing resource for all of us, and it really brings people together. I have met so many great folks on here, found good deals, and passed things along that I no longer needed. Its a great source of local info and updates when you feel out of the loop, and can sometimes be very inspiring.
“Thank you,
