“We had a fun, and interesting, meeting and program at the Adamant Church last night, although it was a very warm evening. As a result of my post on the Calais Front Porch Forum, we had five new guests that were especially interested in hearing about the history of Adamant. Many thanks to Elliott and Lester for sharing facts and stories about the quarries dating back to the 1880s and 1890s. It was then called South Calais, and later Sodom.
