What a pleasure to announce this… Starting immediately, the good people of Alburgh, Grand Isle, Isle La Motte, North Hero and South Hero, Vermont may subscribe to Front Porch Forum! If you live (or summer) there, please sign up today! And please tell your friends and contacts on the Islands to join FPF too.
A core group of organizers, led by Ruth Wallman of the local Chamber, Frank Driscoll, and Darcy Coates, have labored long to line up sponsors to support FPF’s launch in Grand Isle County. This is exciting stuff! So thanks to them, and to the these great launch sponsors (below). In fact, please take a moment to thank them and send some business their way!

Hi. I’m involved in a local Women’s Chorus called Bella Voce, along with Rose Bacon and Rosemary Zamore, and I want to tell you about our holiday concert coming up in December. This year our concert title is “Glad Tiding: Songs of Joy and Peace” and will feature Grace Cloutier – a wonderful harpist from New York. There will be handbells and flutes and percussion too. Our Christmas concerts have become so popular that they quickly sell out. We want everyone to have a chance to attend so we’ve added a second performance!
The concert dates are Saturday, December 5 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 6 at 3:00 p.m. Both concerts will be held at the First Baptist Church, 81 St. Paul Street in Burlington. Tickets are $15 general seating and $12 for seniors and students. You can get tickets at the door, but I really recommend that you order your tickets through the Flynn Box Office, because as I mentioned before, it is not unusual for us to sell out. Their phone number is 863-5966 or online at http://www.flynntix.org. You can learn more about the Bella Voce Chorus on our website at http://www.bellavocevt.org.
It’s going to be a great concert! I hope I see you out there in the audience!
Your Neighbor,
Mary Harwood
